Groups
Recreational Classes (Ages 7-13):
Meets once per week for 1.5 hours. Trains with the Novice Team. Learns basic synchronized swimming concepts and figures. Learns a routine to music. Optional participation in Open division of Sunshine State Games.
Novice Team (Ages 7-15):
Meets twice per week for 1.5 hours. Learns basic synchronized swimming concepts and figures. Competes in three meets all in Florida one of which is Sunshine State Games in Gainesville. Some travel in the state of Florida with possible overnight stay.
Instate Competitive Team (Ages 7-19):
Meets three times per week for 1.5 hours. Learns more advanced synchronized swimming concepts and figures. Competes in up to five meets in the state of Florida one of which is Sunshine State Games in Gainesville. Travels throughout Florida with some overnight stays required. Multiple competition routines may be assigned. Practice attendance is more flexible. Competition categories include Intermediate or 10&Under Age Group.
Age Group Travel Team (Ages 10-19):
Meets four times per week for 2.5 to 3 hours. Learns advanced synchronized swimming concepts and figures. Highly competitive group with attendance required as outlined by the coach. Competes in five to eight competitions, up to three of which may be out of state. Competes in local, regional and national competitions. Possible participation in National Team training programs and selection.
Junior Travel Team (Ages 15-19):
Meets four times per week for 2.5 to 3 hours. Learns advanced synchronized swimming concepts and figures. Highly competitive group with attendance required as outlined by the coach. Competes in five to eight competitions, up to three of which may be out of state. Competes in local, regional and national competitions. Possible participation in National Team training programs and selection. Some 13 and 14 age swimmers may be selected by the coach to swim on the JR team.
